What about a used R9 290x or a used R9 390?

You could go with an also RX 470 they have been going down in prices recently.

Currently is a toss up between the RX 480 4gb and GTX 1060 3gb.

The RX 470 is around 10% slower than the RX 480.

However as of 2/25/17 Newegg has great deal on them. Which include controllers, a rebate and free game depending on the model.

RX 480 has a deal for free copy for Doom 2016.

You can check the YouTube channel hardware Unboxed for more comparisons.

So far the RX 480 VS GTX 1060 is pretty even fight with AMD pulling ahead at end of 2016 with Crimson relive drivers.

Frist of you have decent i5 you should get a nice mid range card like an RX 470 or RX 480 4gb version.

Also add another 4gb of Ram you should have around 8gb to avoid problems.

IF you can get if for Cheap it would be an Ok upgrade from the FX 4300.

However to overclock, you need a Good CPU cooler, in my build I used Noctua NH-D 15 but this is expensive.

Personally the FX 8370 seem on par with 15-6400 and a bit behind the 15-6500.

IF you can OC the FX 8370 to around 4.7 to 5.0 you don't really have much problems with any games on high setting (not ultra).

Something to note you can wait for Ryzen which should be better on all accounts and this would lower prices on older FX chips such as 8350/8320/8370.

PS. 8350 and 8370 don't have much of a difference .

nice build.

Just a word of advice check out RX 470 sale on Newegg. There are rebates and Xbox one controllers with MSI ARMOR model as of 2/25/2017.

RX 470 is more powerful than the 1050 TI. Around 30-56% in different use cases.

To over clock the FX chip you should check out Howzer tech FX 6300 overclocking guide on YouTube.

This will provide the basics on how to overclock the FX chips. The example in the video will be FX 6300.

For your FX 8350 there is one on YouTube Titled "Beginners Guide: How to overclock AMD Processors FX-8350 Pile driver" .

Bottlenecking is where a hardware part in your PC is holding back the entire system from achieving Max FPS in games and lower overall performance in tasks.

In your PC the FX chip is limiting the GTX 1070. The max/avg/min Fps will be lower that say with a i5-6500 and up. OR you could go with a Ryzen chip. it releasing on March 02th 2017.

you can OC the FX chip also to help lower the Bottleneck effect on the GTX 1070.

and you can game at a higher resolution such as 1400p if possible.

Even you have nothing for cable management you can do like Biwit's Sleeper build or the"ketchup and mustard with a side of blue LEDs" build and least make that look a little neater.
