What counts as "old?"

Many members joined in 2014/early 2015 that were memorable, some of which still frequent this place.

If you are looking for a great smartphone at a surprising price, look at manufacturer refurbished LG G4's. I have seen them as low as $90.

Not only is it against PayPals terms of service to charge the buyer for the PayPal fees, it is horribly unprofessional.

Account for the fees in your price.

There was. However, a surprisingly high amount of motherboards do not have it.

That CPU is not overclockable, you do not need a Z170 motherboard to go with it. Either grab an i7 6700k or get a B150 motherboard to go with your i7 6700.

If we want to be technical about it, OP technically can overclock the 6700 by using the base clock method.

In all honesty, it would be worth it to wait another two weeks and go with RyZen.

What?

I would highly suggest using some commas and periods within your posts. It would make it much easier for others to understand. With that being said, I will try to make sense of what you have said.

While they do not greatly improve the overall quality, is having a much longer life not better? Again, if your budget allows, there is no reason not to get the best.

Hello Spipity!

While this is a fair amount more expensive, if you do some deal shopping over at [r/BuildAPCSales[(www.reddit.com/r/buildapcsales) I am sure you could get this back to your previous total.

I upgraded your motherboard from the H110 to the B250 socket to allow the use of hyper-threaded Pentiums. Having four threads within nearly any task will vastly increase the performance.

With that being said, your parts list will do just fine! :)

I would highly recommend going this route. It may be slightly more than you are looking to spend but you will get a lot more power!

I agree SSD's can drastically reduce the load and save times within music producing software. I would like to include one within your budget, but a 240GB SSD will be filled up very quickly. I truly believe that the raw power of the I5 will improve your experience while producing music much more than an SSD would.

That would be awesome! If you are willing to wait for a deal, I would suggest scouring Reddit.com/r/Hardwareswap for a cheap computer featuring at least an "HQ" processor. I would not expect one to be found for less than $300 though.

While Samsung SSD's are more expensive than many other similarly spec'd SSDs, they do offer a much longer life and warranty. If your budget can allow you to get them, I would highly recommend doing so.

Hello!

Overall, your build looks great! I did, however, make a couple, minor, changes. Most importantly, I upgraded your motherboard and processor to the newest Intel chipset - Z270. While this change is small, if you do decide to overclock, the 7700k will vastly outperform its predecessor. To help you overclock, I upgraded your cooler to the Hyper 212 Evo; it is one of the best coolers for the price.

To do this, I changed out your motherboard. If you already have the motherboard linked in your post, you can quickly update the bios. There are a large variety of tutorials available on the internet.

In addition to the previous changes, I changed your Wireless Logitech keyboard to a cheap mechanical keyboard. I myself am a (light/recreational) music producer, I find myself using my keyboard for a large variety of simple tasks within the program and mechanical keyboards are simply a dream to type on!

Would you consider a prebuilt? If you are willing to consider them, within your budget you can easily score an I5 6400, 8 GB DDR4, 1 TB HDD, Windows and sometimes some extras.

Here is one example.
