SSD is meh, everything else is fine. I haven't seen a 285 in a while.
Okay, question time. Why would you switch from an i7 to any FX CPU? Not bashing on AMD but why would you spend more money downgrade?
also, cancerous comments.
The actual SKU is confirmed by Intel to be 6950X, check your facts bud.
Looks awesome, try turning off the LEDs on the motherboard though. Also add the Galax Graphics Cards as custom parts.
They actually have an entire website, go check it out. They apparently have been trying to get into the server market too.
Yeah, I might do a build in it with modern hardware.
The PSU has a voltage switch, which means no active or passive PFC, the caps are dubious, and it costs 65 dollars. 65 dollars is enough for a high quality 600 watt unit, not a 900 watt unit. This unit is also overrated, as it can only supply about 725 watts on the 12 volt rail, if you get lucky and it doesn't explode.
Get rid of that power supply immediately, it is a fire hazard and will not do the full 900 watts.
At 10 seconds per frame.
Sure do, zen should really help.
Fix your cables!
I am actually going to do something very similar to that. Keep an eye out.
That's awesome! P4's were terribly inefficient, and I remember watching an old Tom's Hardware video where they removed the heatsink from various AMD and Intel CPU's. The video was biased toward intel because we all know that a P4 won't stay at 80 F without a heatsink. It was proven later when it was shown that the motherboard for the AMD CPU was using an older chipset without thermal protection.
I'll have to ask my teacher if I can keep the case, I think she said I could have it but she wants me to erase the drives. No problem. I might do it soon, keep an eye out.
I want to do it.
I think it is.
I have a 5820k, the motherboard is ATX, I don't have a good graphics card though, and the PSU isn't ATX.
Yeah, I was honestly surprised that there was as little dust as there was. It was almost like new how clean it was.
I saw a prebuilt using that case, cpu and gpu at best buy, so that's why I made the comment, interesting that he bought those softwares.
His PSU can support dual 380s if he needs a GPU upgrade.
You didn't want to skimp on the power supply, but got a CX unit. kek.
I paid as much for my 1000 watt GQ unit as you did for your 650 watt unit. Form factor makes a difference I guess.
Badass case! I love it. +1
PSU looks explosive, get another stick of RAM with the GPU upgrade, it's super cheap as of recently. Looks pretty, love the cooler.
Yes. All locked skylake CPUs do.
I think someone was trying to copy a prebuilt they saw online, system manufacturers have an odd habit of pairing GTX 960's with locked Core i7s. really odd.
If it sets your house on fire, tweet about it first.
Not THAT bad, but still not great. OP could have done much better for the money.
Awesome! I love the cleanness of the build. With that 1000 watt PSU you can upgrade to dual 390's for a real gaming powerhouse.
Featured! woo! +1 for secksy cables.
Yeah, but incredibly expensive and only 1151 at this time, no X99 RGB love for me. :(
Although, if done right the red+black scheme can be very good looking.
Awesome! Nice to see a 780 Ti.
PSU is a fire hazard, replace pls. That headset is great, I have one.
That's too bad. We need boards other than red+black.
PSU looks explosive. +1 for helping dad.
Looks awesome! I love blue.
Wow, I didn't even know that gigabyte brought back the sniper boards. The one problem I have with the board is the PCI slots. No one uses them, and they are ugly. I wish there was one that came in blue, too. +1
1.1 prerelease is out, and you can have x64 stable on windows now.
-Custom water cooling
Gosh, I remember when the original build was posted, I didn't know it was almost a year ago! The year has been but a blur, and the build is still awesome!
