I need 2 drive bays for my ssd and hdd. Front ports aren't really a problem. Preferably 2 USB ports as a minimum. I'll just be using the stock cooler so no issues there and the gpu is yet to be bought. It'll be the cheapest used so I guess that's not a deal breaker. I was thinking no wider than 20cm. No longer than 30cm preferably. No taller than 25cm preferably. I'm sorry I can't really help with this as this are all just guesstimated numbers from my head. If it helps the category would be micro atx mini tower. Thanks!
Ahhh I would be needing two drive bays. Have a 3.5' and a 2.5' drive. Thanks for the reply!
I see ill move it. Thanls
Thanks a lot!
Could go for a cheaper mobo and memory clocked at 3000mhz. Could make it a lil cheaper.
Are you planning to overclock your cpu?
I see. Thank you very much
Thanks for the insane amount of info. I'll take it all on board and digest it as best as I can.
Not late at all! I think I'll go with an i3-8100 as I want to keep spending to a minimum and I believe the i3 is as good as previous gen i5's due to it having four cores.
I was mainly thinking rocket League. I've just heard Intel performs better with high refresh rates. I'm planning to play most games at 144fps.
Now...... should I get a RGB heatsink?
I see. Thanks
Right that won't be ideal since my internet connection isn't as stable as I'd like.
True. As long as it keeps my CPU cool.
That's a very tough call..... I don't think it will work. I'll see if I still want to stream in the future and I'll take it from there.
I see. I think I'm going to risk the swap.
I was planning to go with the H7 Quad Lumi. But I didn't like the white led fan included. I wanted to replace that with an LL 120 fan.
Very nice! Did they place the strips on the left and top?
Not even that. The full tempered glass side panel looks a million times better. Just beware that you should have a decent amount of components with lighting to ensure the case is lit up. The dark tint is REALLY dark.
I see. I'll take that into consideration thank you.
I think I'll go with the dark. Some builds with a little hit of rgb are still decently visible and I will have more rgb than that.
The LL fan has slightly lower static pressure and airflow. The real reason I want it is for aesthetic purposes. It's static pressure is 1.61 and it's air flow is 43 approximately. Is this still good?
I see thank you very much
Yeah that's the one I've had my eyes on. I'm not planning to overclock so looking at a B360 motherboard. I would've gone with the 8500 for the higher clock speeds but it costs so much extra for a relatively small performance boost.
Will the Asus boards have this? I would rather save money where I can and not get a commander pro but I don't want to majorly sacrifice functionality.
It's pwm for sure. Would I be able to set custom curves for different scenarios and such in the BIoS? I know that is possible using ICue with a commander pro.
Yeah that's a tough one. I think I'll go from 3x 120 exhaust to two. The problem is finding the right settings to provide a slightly positive air pressure. Would it be better to get a commander pro for personalised fan control? Or would the motherboard pwm control be enough?
I see lol. Is 3 exhaust overkill?
Well I made a separate part list for Intel and AMD. The Intel build I made is like £20 more which I think is okay if the performance is better.
I'll take that into consideration. Thank you
Thanks I'll take it into account! Pengu ilysm lol
I see. Thanks. I'm looking for 1080p 144hz in most games at a minimum of medium settings.
I'm thinking 144hz at 1080p at medium settings at least in most games. My homework will depend. I'm starting college in a half a year and will get the PC even later than that. Most likely coding, text documents and some more stuff.
Okay thanks a lot!!!
I'm really interested in replacing all of the fans in the case with LL fans by Corsair. How will this affect this test?
Nice I can't thank you enough. The build quality on the HM5's are slightly worse from what I've seen. But should they last a decent amount of time?
I see I'll take that into account. Nice thanks for the help!
Thanks. What is the hybrid made of? Also, which do you think would be the most comfy whilst being the most breathable? I'm thinking of going with the HM5's though. Would I need to replace the pads on them?
The Brainwavz HM5 are the model available in the UK. They look quite tempting. Costs a bit more than the M40X but overall cheaper since I probably won't have to replace the ear pads. Are they better/similar to the M40X's? I look at a website called rtings.com and did a comparison. The HM5's seem marginally better which seems good. I just want to make sure they last a decent amount of time.
I don't have Amazon prime. Some prices are weird here in the UK so I'll go for the M40X if it would perform better for my uses compared to the HD 280 Pro. What pads would you recommend to replace the stock ones on the M40X's?
I've also seen around that the CB-1's have terrible build quality. Many people had permanent scratches from a little fingernail hit and a loud creak when putting them on. Many recommend a refurbished pair of M40X's on Amazon instead. Opinions?
I would like other recommendations please. I'm only looking at closed back headphones with a near enough flat response for the best price possible. I'm very confused are you saying that the M40X is good?
I see. Do the two you've stated have more of a neutral sound?
Are there any other closed back you would recommend? I'm definitely not going for semi/open back
So all the others you have me are semi/ open back except from the M40X not including the headsets. Would you think I should get a headset or headphone and mic for my needs? The game I'll play the most is rocket League where sound is only important to a certain degree.
I should also mention I'm looking for closed back headphones. My ears are also a lil big, so if you know if any of these headphones can be a tight squeeze around ears please let me know. Thanks
