I truly do hope I at least get an RX 470, I'll let you know when I get it later today
haha a 380/480 would make me giddy!
I switched the cable out, still the same problem. I connected the monitor with my sister's laptop and no green/purple lines showed up, so I know now that it should be coming from my computer, but I don't know from what component
Yeah whenever its not a Windows-related process such as System, etc. its usually mutlitple google chrome processes even though i dont have any tabs open
I got adblock the minute i got chrome. 3 plugins
Did a quick scan with WindowsD and it reported no spyware
8GB. no spyware as i dont use internet for anything but Youtube and run WindowsD often. i dont have a VM
Chrome, Windows defender, System, WLAN driver (i have a wireless adapter) and other processes ill show later
I have a feeling it might be a memleak too as i do have quite a bit of games. The memory seems to be hogged by skype, google chrome, Windows defender, and other processes which ill screenshot later
highly recommend these for a headset for PS4
Lots of bass(GL finding a console headset w/o a lot of bass) but if thats what you enjoy then good!
GPUs seem to drop when competition scales up
I bought an R9 270 in April of 2014 for 180 bucks (it was a hell of a deal back then) but now you could buy an R9 290/X if you find a good sale). this happened after the bitcoin craze died down and NVIDIA released their GTX 9XX Series.
In general, especially for GPUs, when a competitor releases a new competing product or new products are released from own company, prices drop
Another example would be the FX 8320 and 8350 dropping in price when the new 8320s/8350s came out
the APU includes a GPU inside that isn't really intended for gaming. Since you plan on using a GPU, the 8320 will be better since it has 8 cores, etc. heres more
I have the same GPU and with Mantle enabled it gets around 40fps w/ BF4 on ULTRA at 1080p
I would recommend getting the 8320 instead of the APU you currently use
And acquire a 990fx motherboard with that CPU (MSI, ASUS,etc.) Check out my build to see the motherboard i paired with my 8320
this monitor might be better. bigger, IPS,etc. ask them to price match w/ amazon
fantastic monitor 23.6 inches, close enough to 24, IPS, and has such accurate color reproduction
at this point i would get a GTX 780. Theyre definitely approaching the 300 dollar mark and if you snag a good deal you can get it for the price of a 770
Thanks i was able to figure it out in 10 months!
Holy ****. I know you're in Australia but damn a 750ti???? In short, no it won't run those games very well.
I too prefer optical over laser, hate mouse acceleration.I have a DA 2013 and its very good. Not too many frills except for scroll button and razer logo lighting
Razer software is pretty good too to setup macros, etc.
"Submitted 11 months ago" Still manages to be on the front page :/
what cud possibly stop u from playing games :0
I have an R9 270 (about the equivalent of this card). That's a heck of a deal, i bought mine for 180 bucks. In terms of running those games, it will run BF4 at Ultra at an average of 50 fps in worst case scenarios on Gulf of Oman, etc. Plus Mantle is being used in BF4 and may be in GTA V although it hasnt been announced yet. http://videocardz.com/49777/list-upcoming-games-support-mantle-api
Hope I will be able to see it soon!
Coincidence or just good taste????? Maybe both!
that keyboard is a joy to use
With keyboards i would suggest the FUNC KB-460. CM Storm Quickfire Rapid (i have this, best keyboard for under $100), dasKeyboard, or Ducky K/Bs
did you build this in your dorm?
so you weren't scared if somebody tried to lug that PC out of your room?
I guess some people don't like expressions and LOVE responding to comments from 3 months ago. Productivity at its finest, seen here ladies and gentlemen!
although SSDs have a low rate of failure, eventually they do die out after a decade (but after that you'll probably want a new one) i would say an SSD shouldnt be a very long term investment and the highest capacity i would get is 500GB
nice deal on the GPU?
an R9 280x for 250 bucks.....you're kidding me. good build, wouldnt change anything about it.
i use 8.1 and for gaming i dont see whats so bad with it. Navigating around may be a little challenging but the increased speed of boot up on W8 from W7 is pretty substantial.
better processor and mobo, got a cheaper monitor for 1080p (i would say this is the best 1080p IPS monitor for the money) http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hXWyqs
now that the price dropped to 400 dollats i would HIGHLY recommend getting this if you were thinking about getting a new card
Yeah me too but that ridiculuous price for the 290 is 490 bucks...... most people can buy theirs for 400 dollars from MSI, which has a better cooler too..
Did u buy your CPU retail? I have never seen that box for the AMD CPUs
Intel has the upper hand in single core performance while AMD tends to be a bit weaker on that end. Most games will utilize as many cores as possible but in this day and age most games benefit from strong single core performance.
didnt include the monitor
Acer H236HL. Thin bezel. Cheap price. IPS. 1080p.What more could you ask for?
Wow where do you live?
Dang now I have slight buyers remorse. I never really thought about the non K CPUs because they are not overclockable and for some reason the lack of the feature to OC made me look down upon it. But now on second thought, I can see why somebody would pick the more logical route with Intel. Thanks for letting me know, I'll keep that in mind!
I don't want to make any R4 fans mad but the airflow is pretty iffy. There's lots of foam, especially on the non window version, restricting air movement. For airflow I would recommend either getting the Arc Midi R2 or fitting the R4 with some intake fans at the top and exhaust fans at the rear and top
Before taxes and accessories the pc was about 850 not including taxes. I decided to go all out on the case since i knew i would eventually upgrade to high end parts. I too was going to get the GTX 750 although for my purposes i wanted something with a bit more power. So far the MSI r9 270 stays very cool and performs just as i need it to in my games. Sadly i wont be recording for YT because i dont have a recording software like Shadowplay (this is where im jealous of you :P) and i am camera/ microphone shy. But if i am ever presented with the opportunity to capture my gameplay, i definitely will!. My cpu is also performing very well for gaming and browsing. THanks for the comment donut, really appreciate the time you and all the others took to comment on my build!
Sometimes it's all about what's outside :)
alright thanks manirelli
THat's odd, i would recommend getting the Windows 8 in the first link, cheaper and seeems exactly the same/
