I tried Fortnite when the battle royale mode first became available... hated it. Went back to PUBG.
Tried Fortnite again last night and fell in love. The game has done a complete 180. Graphics are actually really pretty now, cosmetics are items that I think are actually unique (looking at you, pubg), and gameplay is really fast paced. The building mechanic makes firefights super enjoyable.
Hopefully this wont get stale to me like pubg has
I need a boss like you!
Celeste isn't any of those genres you listed but trust me, you'll enjoy it :)
I just bought my switch a few days ago... For me, I was getting bored of gaming on my ps4 considering nearly every ps4 title was available, cheaper, and ran better on my pc. The switch I'm falling in love for because theres some decent ports that can be played on it. Yes, some / most of these ports have been out for a while but when you take in to consideration that switch is a handheld console and can be played anywhere then it becomes worth while. I'll stick to my pc for the newer games while using my switch for mobile play while i'm out and about.
Really depends on what games you own / like to play tbh.
We need a link to your build!
Yeah. The fans themselves aren't attached to the radiator. They attach via a screw set that comes with the AIO.
Buy RGB fans for it. Just make sure they're 140mm and static pressure fans.
Dauntless. But I believe it's still in paid early access. It's scheduled to be free once it's released. It's pretty much an MMO version of monster hunter with different stylized graphics
Not sure, I just manually set an xmp profile for the timing and havent really had an issue
It has a hdmi cable that runs from the top I/O through a hole in the back of the case which plugs in to the gpu. It's not really noticeable.
All this talk about okami only being on nintendo before this but seems ya'll are forgetting okami was originally a ps2 game hmmmm
I believe so!
Well if you like fortnite and are looking for something a little bit more serious then pubg would be the obvious choice. It comes out of early access on December 20th...
I couldn't get into fortnite either. I think i may just be biased because the 200 something hours i've put in to PUBG but Fortnite just felt like a really really really not fun experience to me. my biggest gripe with it was that the map felt really poorly designed, too small, and too spaced out. It felt like you had to get lucky landing in the right spot to have any sort of chance at surviving more than 30 seconds. Pubg, however is a whole other experience for me. Pubg feels way more balanced as far as weapon spawns go and easier to survive so long as you play very strategically. It doesn't really get insanely difficult until like top 30, in my opinion.
Can confirm test server is much more optimized. Getting about 40-50 more fps and my temps are staying almost 10c cooler than they are in the early access. (on a 1080)
It's one of those games that is REALLY frustrating until you start to really figure it out and get good at it. then it's really rewarding.
Tried it and wasn't a fan. I think I might just be biased because of the ~200 hours ive poured in to pubg, making it hard to like any other game of that genre.
your username gave me a chuckle
Any of the touhou series
If you think screen tearing is something that will bother you then yeah it will probably be worth. But gtx cards out perform amds.
You're just going to be using this for playing media right? 1750 would be a good budget for a workstation / gaming pc. But for a htpc you can probably build something for around 800 and be good. and even 800 feels high to me.
1750 for a htpc?? mannnn
Not sure which ryzen you were looking at, but here's a /really good deal coming up at frys for black friday:
ryzen 5 1600 and a msi gaming b350m motherboard for 190.
I personally have never had any experience with ryzen, so I can't say. I've heard great things though. From my understanding they exceed more if you are planning on using your machine for a workstation, where as intel exceeds more for gaming. Also keep in mind that coffee lake just came out, so do some research on that as well if it's in your budget.
Wait, what motherboard do you have? DDR4 is newer technology that may not work with your motherboard (considering you said you are using ddr3). And a good middle ground is around 2666hz
Both of those should work for AMD so long as you change xmp settings in bios. I'm in the "ram is ram" camp, so whatever looks best to you aesthetically then i say hop on it. They're both likely the same samsung ram kits with different branding and heat spreaders anyways.
...yeah i was about to say; you need the drivers installed to get the hue+ box to recognize them
You can't add an optical drive because that case doesnt have a bay for one. In modern builds, most people don't even bother putting one in because almost everything can be downloaded digitally or via usb. If you want an internal one i recommend finding another case with a 3.5" drive bay or buying an external one. External drives aren't terribly expensive anyways...
As for the SATA issue, it's basically saying that if you install an m.2 drive in that motherboard then one (or two, depending on which m.2 bay you use) SATA ports will not work. This is because the way the motherboard is designed has the m.2 drive and the SATA ports sharing the same connection. This is pretty common, actually. It shouldn't affect you unless you are planning on installing more than 4 or 5 hard drives.
Also a side note: I have yet to see a single hacker since these complaints started to roll in.
PUBG has entered the point in its life cycle where the game has become stale for most people, causing a lot of the really dedicated playerbase (such as myself and a lot of my normal squad) to opt out to play other titles. I'll still play a game here or there but i'm nowhere near motivated to play from morning to dawn like i used to. I blame this entirely on the limited nature of the game. It's fun but you can only do so much of dropping in on the same map with the same weapons playing the same game mode. It's a similar reason as to why i absolutely despise overwatch now. However, they are supposed to be releasing a new map and adding a parkour system to the game soon so hopefully that will freshen it up.
I should clarify: it took me around 180 hours of gameplay to get to the point where i'm at now, so I definitely think you'll get your moneys worth from purchasing it.
I meant ram kit (normally Ram comes in pairs, which we call a kit). Theres been a shortage of ram lately which is why prices have been so rediculous. Any specific reason you chose that model? Why not look for something else similar?
What kit? There are plenty of retailers out there, just look around and see who has it in stock...
I mean if you have 5000$ to spare go for it. But i would cut costs to get a better monitor / possibly a second gpu for sli.
Idk if i were you I would had cut costs to atleast be able to afford a monitor lmao
Curious, how long did you have the x62 until the pump died?
Oh what the heck, I hadn't realized how much ram prices had sky-rocketed. I bought a 16gb kit of 2666mhz back in july for 110$ and now its up there for like ~140$. I still think you can probably get a faster speed of ram for similar price as to what you've picked though.
Why is that RAM so expensive? Cut costs on the ram and buy a better cpu...
"knockoff" you realize playerunknown invented the battle royale game mode with the dayz mod right?
How did you mount the second monitor on top like that?
PUBG has mixed reviews? since when? I've not heard one single person complain about it.
You can pick up a 1080p 60hz monitor with faster response wayy cheaper than that.. But then again im not sure if you're likely to find an ips monitor that cheap.
I mean what are you looking for in the motherboard? Abundant usb? Onboard wifi/bluetooth? Aura support? Not to mention your budget...
Clean up those cables man this hurts to look at. Otherwise nice selection of parts
Yikes that ram is pricey for the speed
In your budget you can probably only afford a 1080p x 144hz monitor or 1440p 60hz monitor. nothing more
