I'm sorry, I never noticed this message! I have had zero reliability issues to date with that mobo. It was easy to setup and so far no reported issues whatsoever.

Be mindful of telling other people how to spend their own money in such a condescending way.

Thanks for the compliment. Haven't had a problem yet with any evga power supplies ive used in other builds. Nothing too power hungry in this build either. Time will tell I guess. I dont really consider evga bronze to be skimping, just a reliable lower priced option from my experience. Hopefully I dont ever have to come back here and post a you were right.

Gaming at work? Thought I read it wrong, but nope, you said it! Where does this job exist?

They are actually just some random offbrand from Amazon. ATTAV RGB Magnetic LED Light Strip. Search for that on Amazon. $19. Wanted NZXT Hue, but had spent enough already at that point. Comes with a remote to switch through the RGB spectrum. Magnetic strips so i just fed them up along the seams on the window panel.

Thanks! I like things to be in order. Must be why I'm struggling with overclocking. There isn't a right way, just lots of ways!

No problem. Gives you the option of overclocking in the future. With my asus z170 it will just about set it up for you. Im going to let mine run stock for a while, but if it starts acting tired in a few years it will be easy to give it a boost.

Oh yeah, split your ram into 2x4 gb sticks instead of one 8, you can run dual channel on your mobo that way. Basically same price.

Do you have a Micro Center in your area? You can get the unlocked i5 and a z170 bundled for $300. Can't beat it anywhere online. Good luck, it wasn't nearly as hard as i was expecting, just watch some build videos on youtube using similar parts, no sweat.
