This is why i like the lian li. their designs are simple but works. Ofcourse trying out new tottaly flipping deisgns are col, but if you want basic functional stuff even in minimal forms, lian li is one of your best shots. Good job in squeasing in so much stuff into that case, i've read plenty of reviews saying that woatercooling would never work here and i always said "its gonna be hard, but don't say its impossiblle". good job man!
Very good work for a first build and you should be proud of it, the cable managment is amazingly well for a first time, something that the h440 does good cauese you can route the cables so easy with n skill at all. and you did a heck of a job with the color codes. for a first build: 10 out of 10! hope it brings you loads of hapyness! :-D
My pet is to excited for pc components. It would try to scratch the ram immediatly xD Anyhow, gotta love the S340, i know the hddbays can be abit noisy due to it being rather plastici, how do you feel that the overall sound is? =)
Say what you want about ugly colored mobos, That mobo can really take a punch. I had that on a friends pc for as long as i can remember her having it, overclocked and pumped out as much as you can (can't remember the numbers anymore). It really does well and complains very little compared to some mobos out there today!
The corsair carbridge series has alot of functionality for its price, 2 bad that there aint anny amd mobos on the budget range that are red, it would look slick in your build. Gj in staying at your budget.
The color scheme on this one is amazing. And the whole cable manages gives me so much jiy to look at. How is the noise? i imagine with all the fans that you are able to run em on a low rpm? I use the same fans and im lovin it
Bill owen sells THE best LED strips and he ships all over the world (as long as you email him) i have 1 on my white nzxct (youi can fin my build at my profile) srsly, that thing can light up a ******* room :-D
If you like quiet cases like me i'd say don't take the green bitfenix but look into the corsair LED instead, they are abit quieter but don't shine as much. A matter of taste though. I like how you got a good color scheme on it all, it's a sadness that the mobo can't display green but red but it doesn't hurt you much imo. Can't agree that i like razer but that's a matter of taste, gj! :-)
It's to bad this case didn't come as white. It would be a heck of alot more slick then silver in my opinion. Although the silver one DOES look quite apple-ish so that's a plus!
I know how hard it is to build in these things. The case is slick as hell but just so brutal to get a rigg in that if you get it to mailfunction you really wanna check everything before dismantling it, gj!
I'm using a kraken x60 atm, while my tempretures are higher it might be because my fans are running on low speed with a grid+ fan controller. i can run my fans at 3+ - 40% at most times using 4x 140mm fans (two in front and two in the topp) works great for me! :-)
Thank you!
Yes the prices has been edited now so you can check what i got, as i said the pricings from sweden and alot of stuff i got from companies that went bankrupt during some financial crises in sweden.
Also fixxed a story and some new pictures, how you enjoyted it and thanks for replying!
Maybe i should revise it. I tried overclocking even to 4.3 following the main guides out there (teksyndicate made a video of just this board or if it was UD5 i can't remember but i followed their settnings and did not get the same results even in lower ghz)
I will try during this week to overclock it again and if i fail i'll post the settnings here! Would be cool to get feedback.
It feels abit wierd to have a completly blue build (which i referr to as intel) but seing an amd chipset inside it :-D ofcourse that has nothing to do with it but it just feels wierd!
It looks so killer when you have it up on that glass table, good job. clean build, only thing i personally didn't linke was the led strips for NZXT. But that's a matter of taste ;)
If you want an internal fan hub that you can controll via your OS then you could get Grid+, i use it and it is okay but software is far to buggy to really call itself a finnished product!
I really wished that amd made more black and white mobos. The only one they have is the Gigabyte series and it's not that decent of a mobo. That sabertooth mobo is really killer and i love it!
I don't like intel. I agree that htey are better but i am a fanboy myself ^ I know intel could give me more and i know intel would be more stable with cool things. But i just love the overclocking and the fine arts of amd. the company has led me down alot during the last year but i really hope they get back like they were on the Phenom2 times!
CPU, MOBO and RAM was for 200 bucks, as said above. That pricing was increadible and that's why i got it. after that i bought the chassi, graffix and ssd :-)
This build had to cover alot of different aspects, video editing, gaming, programming, The prices here are not realistic because i bought mine in of a swedish suplier and i didn't check if i could edit the prices. I love my pc and it has done me well over the year I've had it now.
Hey everyone, thanks for commetning! i did not know it would get this much attention! I will update this place really soon with a short story to how this pc came to be. Also i just uppgraded my cpu cooler to an x60 kraken so pics on that too! =)
The reason for the ram uppgrade was due to the fact that i got it for 100 bucks from a company shutting down. Also the 8350 does well with more ram channels to go through. If i could get 4x rams with 16 gigs in total i'd rather go for that but at the time the cheapest 16 gig ram was 120, which means i got 32 gigs of ram for 20 bucks cheaper then 16 :-)
I would love an x99 but as you say, i cannot afford it. The 8350 does it's work great with all the multiple applications i use while gaming/streaming. Over all i have the best pc at my university (even though some are using intel) because of what it puts out with when i'm programming, streaming or gaming. I know an 8350 is nowhere close to an x99 and i would dream to have one but 2 problems: 1 the price is about 3 times as high as an 8350, 2 that mobo wont fit into my h440 the way i'd like because it is to wide. So i choose to stick with amd. :-)
I love my cpu, but the mobo i am dissapointed at, it overclocks very badly so i'm hoping to get some asus boards installed soon. Or perhaps geting the new MSI gaming board which clocks good. Thanks for commenting! :-)
The ram was bought before the graffics card due to a company geting bankrupt. I got the mobo, ram and cpu for like 200 dollars all together :P that's why! ^
When i set this up, the swedish store Inet.com wasn't selectable. so i didn't care about the prices. I didn't check if i could edit them to cause it would be a pain to re-calculate everything from swedish crowns to dollars / Euro
Thank you and you're right, I'm streaming on twitch.tv/eilytres. The card does decent there for the work i put it up to but i need more now that the games are geting into "next gen" we'll see when i can get money to uppgrade ;D
People are entitled of their own opinion :-) I love amd and i don't want intel to get all of the market cause that wouldn't be good for anny build enthusiast!
I'm a streamer on twitch.tv/eilytres. the gpu works well for my three screens that i have out and the video editing is nice with this card. also it was on sale so i got a good price for it ;)
Yeah here's the deal, i found this company who went bankrupt. So they sold these for 100 bucks. and back then 16 cost like 120 bucks. so if i could save 20 bucks and still get ridiculus ammount of lags then why not lol? :D
The prices aren't exactly acurate since I am from sweden and the stores didn't exist on the page. When i bought the 128 it was still a rather high price :P
