Yeah, I came from a 24" monitor so this was a huge change.

So far so good. There's only one game I play (Squad) where I get very occasional stutters on the highest settings, but it's not too often and not too noticeable. Runs Star Citizen like a champ.

No complaints, just took a bit to get used to. My old monitor was pretty bright and this one isn't so much, so spotting folks in FPS's has been challenge but I think I'm used to it now.

Alright folks, I get it, not a sleeper build. If I could change the title I would.

This. New site is pretty, but I'm not a fan of how large everything is now. Hard to look at your build list without scrolling all the time.

Also having trouble finding the button on part pages to find completed builds with that part.

Is a CPU cooler necessary? I was under the impression the 2700X's stock cooler does a decent job with mild overclocks.

I could be totally mistaken, but since I have an mATX case I think there's only two or three X470 motherboards that will work? I was under the impression I'm essentially limited to the B450 with the Define Mini C.

So I searched their website and couldn't find a 2700X ROG Strix B450-I bundle - https://www.microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?Ntk=all&sortby=match&N=4294834665+4294813597+4294818846+4294817924+4294812530+4294819837&myStore=true

I actually couldn't find any bundles for the ROG Strix B450-I. Only other bundles I think they have for the 2700X are the Gigabyte B450M DS3H and the ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming-ITX/ac.

I don't think I can do any X470 bundles due to my case.

Thanks

I take it you already purchase the B450 Aorus M?

No, I adjusted the price to reflect what it would be bundled with the 2700X from Micro Center. Same with the monitor.

Did you have any issues with the BIOS when first starting it up due to it being a B450? I'm looking at the motherboard you used for my potential mATX build and keep reading about that.

This looks like the first build for the "Magnificent" that's using 32 gigs of RAM - is there a reason for that? I was under the impression that unless you're doing application heavy work that 16 should be just fine for gaming.

I had the same question and found this article: https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2018-12-20-rtx-2080-vs-gtx-1080-ti-benchmarks-performance-features-7001

Seems like the 2080 is the way to go in most cases when it comes to gaming. It's typically cheaper than the 1080 Ti and offers better frames in most applications. Take this with a grain of salt as I'm far from an expert on computer hardware, just been doing a lot of research for my next build.
