henkvndam's Completed Build: The Pepenator | Aka the Pepe the Frog machine

henkvndam submitter 1 Build 2 points 18 months ago

Yes you can. When you go to the manufacturers website you can download software and drivers in the support tab. In there there is an app called RGB fusion. Use that to turn off the lighting on your mobo. Although, in my opionion the lighting on the mobo is really nice! ;p

Sorry for the late reply. But if you got any worries about what ram to go with. Just use this kit. I updated the mobo's bios to the latest and it worked on the XMP profile at 3200 Mhz just perfectly. So no worries. ;)

Choose Ryzen. My advice.

Gaming, mainly GTA V + Witcher 3 and some other games. Editing 4k GoPro footage from the Hero 5. Maybe some gameplay streaming sometime. And a little overclock on the stock cooler and maybe more with aftermarket cooling in the future

Forum Topic "Found out Ryzen is a better choice CPU for me, and made this build"

henkvndam submitter 1 Build 1 point 20 months ago

Yes I know. I hope to get a nice CPU from the lottery so I can have a stable high overclock.

henkvndam submitter 1 Build 1 point 20 months ago

I heard the stock cooler also gives quite good overclocking performance. Isn't that right?

This PC build comes above my budget in Holland with the majority of the parts. Don't really know why.

I now included the power supply. I just removed it a couple mins ago because I was comparing some.

About the case. I actually don't know If all my components would fit into a ATX Mid Tower. I heard the CPU cooler is very big and that this GPU is very big. But will all my components fit into a Mid Tower?

The new i7 CPU is a great choice combined with the Corsair H100i v2 liquid cooler. The GTX 1080 is a very nice GPU, especially for the price. Nice mobo, nice ram and fast storage. What else do you want.

It's also exactly $1750 dollars.

If you got any questions, please ask. ;)
