It's important to remember that core count and clock speed aren't everything. Take a look at this: 9590 vs 2600
It's been a while, don't remember. Please don't do this build anymore though, get a ryzen cpu/board.
Lol, this is so old xD. To answer your question though, the box contains both the 9590 and the water cooler.
Oh, sorry. Yes, those are antennae but I was just using them while setting up the PC. I borrowed them from a friend and I do not know the model.
I just used a wired connection and didn't bother buying a network adapter.
Guess that means I'll need a better cooler then. Thnxs
Been running for about 15 min and temps topped off at about 55c after about 5 min.
I set the clock speed to 4.7 ghz (I blelive the multiplier is 23.5) and I'm running the stress test
Well, thank you souch for your help even though it didn't work out; I guess next time I should make sure to get a motherboard that can handle my CPU and then some. Thanks again,
Temps get up to 62c the cooler must not be powerful enough
I'm an idiot the CPU is 1.53125
Wait ignore everything I just said it was set to1."5"125.
Strange, eventhough the CPU is set to 1.3125 (next lower in bios) it said it was drawing 1.5 V in hw monitor
It is set to 1.375; your saying I should lower it to 1.300
That's currently in bios
Vcore voltage: 1.512V
Couldn't see; I was scrolling to it when the crash occurred
Alright, had prim running for abot 20 sec and then it crashed. CPU temps 57 with vrm the same
Alright, the numbers in the box now match the numbers in the blueprints
The v core is set at auto 1.5375
:) I have the Cooler Master Seidon 120M 86.2 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler and at the stock 4.7 ghz my temps are 30 idle and 50 under load
Ok I've done all that; is it now safe to try to start over clocking
I just set the LLC to medium; should I now try to increase the 9590's clock speed?
Yea it will work great; that's what I have for my 9590 and my temps are really low; 30 idle and 50 under-load.
If you have the right cooling you could probably overclock the 8320 to 4.7ghz. The FX 9590 is basically a factory overclocked 8320 and I run my 9590 at 4.7
The one annoying thing about the Gigabyte board is that you cannot overclock the 9590 on it. Its a great board in all other aspects (especially the bios) but it just can't handle the huge power draw of an overclocked 9590.
Yea, its a fan for cooling the VRM/northbridge
About the same
Its just an OCZ SSD rebranded as an AMD. I got it because of a combo deal with the FX-9590.
Idle is about 15C while load is about 50C
Yea, I was having some problems with that so I bought a PCI slot fan and that solved the overheating.
Whats wrong with a 9590
Great build, thank you! One question, if you were going to upgrade the CPU what would you chose?
