I like the way the heatsinks on the motherboard match with the case and even the ram. Where did you find the silver version of the case in stock?

Dang man. Just so you know most of the crazy deals went out of stock in the first few hours, like the i8700k, i5 8600k, r5 1600, 27" dell monitor, nintendo switch and the HP 32" monitor to name a few. Near the end I luckily picked up the HP Pavilion 32" 1440p monitor for $164 which is pretty much the same thing as the omen version that went out of stock if you have a nvidia gpu

Have you thought about having two separate drives with different copies of windows? You would have to change something like the boot order when starting up though.

Haha thanks. I can't believe that I posted this almost two years ago, a lot has changed. I just made some upgrades today and almost everything is different and much cleaner now. As I was cable managing everything I kept thinking about your build and how I had to at least make mine decent. I think I need to do another post soon.

Man this is awesome, packed tight with so much power! I think that CPU would really benefit from a quick upgrade to a cooler with more surface area, just can't think of anything on the top of my head that would work with that case and socket. Again, awesome stuff man.

Its something like the static is on the outside, only the inside is anti static. Been hearing this for years but it isn't the end of the world when someone does it.

Im not sure if a ssd is worth it on those older systems because it might not have sata 3 native support. In my experience an ssd connected by sata 2 speeds is quite a bottleneck. Maybe you could get a pcie expansion card with sata 3 ports on it? Im sure that exists

Cool build, I like these older ones. The q6600 is still a pretty good cpu for its price
