yes. it is my only drive right now. i think it is in the one that shares with sata. i plan on getting a real nvme for the other m2. that sucks about having to send it back i almost did the same.
I didn't need a good GPU but extra cores and lots of ram are what I need. I could still do with more ram, but my GPU is fine for my use. not everyone is a hardcore gamer.
i just have an ssd, and it is m2 so is plugged right into the mobo, it was easy enough. i didn't need any extensions for anything. highly recommend for first time builders i put everything together in less than an hour taking my time.
cool thanks, i did that but i am not sure how to actually check ram speed to make sue it is running that fast. cpuz show ram speed as like 1800 which must be wrong, i hope
haha. i have a stack of zip ties that I am going to open up when I get a chance. did not know that the psu could be flipped, i think i wondered about that once when I was screwing it in but thought that the fan needed to be on the top. I will post a picture just for you when I zip tie it all. I did make sure that my cables weren't criss crossed, and had it in mind what would be zip tied to what, if that makes me look better.
i am still little confused on the ram thing. it seems like all ram will work its just that highspeed ram wont operate at highspeed and it is a firmware issue so it should be fixed with a bios update someday, hopefully soon?
you bet. thanks for the input. i am still little confused on the ram thing. it seems like all ram will work its just that highspeed ram wont operate at highspeed and it is a firmware issue so it should be fixed with a bios update someday, hopefully soon.
the ibm model m is an old reliable bullet proof mechanical keyboard and it wasn't on your list. i am sure you were looking for constructive feedback when you posted and i didnt provide that.
here is what i am looking at now, chose a mobo with more ram slots for future upgrades. i need to look into the 1060 vs 1050 ti to see if the price is worth it for me.
i like this build a lot. i was really leaning towards an intel/nvidia build but I have to look into this. the 6 core processor is very appealing since mainly this will be a processing machine.
thanks for the input. i do not plan on overclocking, but the option is nice. does the stock cooler work well for the ryzen? what cooler would you recommend for overclocking?
