I've its bigger brother, the Corsair 540 Air Project Winter War. They're really nice to build into, only complaint is the holes in the bottom of the system, under the disk quick release.

Imagine how the person over at Corsair that designed the Air 240/Air 540 feels when s/he see's what beautiful and imaginative and inspirational things you build with them.

Oh wow, definitely on the hunt for some, but I'd make it a challenge for you for sure I'm very fussy :P
PROJECT WINTER WAR is my current build, I'd be looking for something to cover the SSD alignment vertically and the hard disk also aligned vertical and it would have to ship to Finland! So after shipping and import tax the prices would have to be very competitive.

You did well all things considered, mine are also rolled into a ball and bunched up into a corner. Main difference is mine is a cube form factor and behind the motherboard tray, and in a place that won't impact airflow or heat.

I'm just busting your balls. If noone else does you'd just stop there. And that's console peasant talk :P

I've done the same BrutalDeluxe, and very refreshing when done right. That's mine Project Winter War it's set in the Corsair 540 Air, so just a generation/iteration behind of your case. I do like your taste though, but I couldn't justify having all that power for my single 27" monitor. The single 1070 on my own works just just fine.

Doesn't the EL wire fade pretty quickly? There must be a more permanent solution with similar effect, I had thought of something like the so called tron tape or reflective vinyl wrap that's used on emergency vehicles. It would be a more permanent solution.... But Would then require another light source to make it pop.

Clear acrylic also with the tron tape along its base with some reasonably powerful led at each end would also work and could also be in someway hooked into the others RGB LED'S. that's another permanent solution but would take more work but would be more customisable. reflective-vinyl is one source.

Anyways jus my own thoughts, but great find. Very inspiring +1

we all want this right? I so badly want this... I really liked this case too, but went with a 540 Air instead better ecstatic for me build Project Winter War , but my next build you've definitely convinced me to go with the 740 Air, want to build a Kett themed build (bad guy from Mass Effect) so a military olive on the outside and perhaps something really over bright on the inside like an orange or yellow.

so op success you've inspired! T'is what's pcpartpicker is for, no?

I love how you recycled the fans from Deepcool - CAPTAIN 240EX WHITE AIO for the bottom, but they're less effective on the bottom pulling air out at the case, might get better temps if you reverse them to pull the ambient air into the case?

I use the same CPU AIO cooler in my own Project Winter War so far so good, and it doesn't get nearly as much credit for just how easy it is to install.

Hope you add more pics!

Uhttp://www.carwrapdirect.com/reflective-white is the stuff I've my eye on, its used alot on work/emergency services vehicles. I think it would look really nice on the inside of my build here: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/HnTBD3 I jus got done adding Corsair mag-lev white LED fans to my one this week, and with the other lights I think the reflective vynil would really shine there - like Tron in a box.

Also gave you a sub, keep up the work. As long as you have the enthusiasm and passion it will show through the lens in those vids and bring a lil joy to many. Don't be afraid to innovate - don't just think outside the box as far as the content is concerned, but live outside it!

Really lovely, I've a 540 also the only pain with it is the open floor below the drive slides below the motherboard. Other than that I love the thing. Might try and vynil wrap the inside of mine with some white reflective wrap to pop in the lights. But that aside really nice work.

not to alarm you but it looks like you've not removed the scratch wrap off that motherboard? shouldn't do any damage if you forgot too, but the glue might discolour those parts when it cooks off, not to mention what would happen if the wrap heats up falls off n gets pulled into a fan, it's a heart attack inducing sound.

Comment reply on JeffWheaton's Completed Build: Snow White

I have to admit, the Deepcool CAPTAIN 240 EX AIO was one of the easiest things to install on my own rig, I don't think they get enough credit for how innovative and simple it is to install. Did you plug yours into the CPU fan header or did you use the W-PUMP header on the Z170 S?
