I've never seen that case before. It's so pretty. =)

EDIT: Oh, the rest of the build is pretty cool, too. ;)

So, go to the Completed Builds and then click Create A Completed Build. From there, select the saved part list that you want to submit.

Not a bad build. I wish the newer A10-7850K was more affordable. I know it performs a lot better than its previous models.

Interesting. If that issue was universal, I imagine that everyone with bookmarks would have the same problem. Chrome is usually smart enough to redirect such things anyway. I've had the same bookmark for like a year and I've never noticed anything wrong. If they were to majorly change the domain, I imagine they'd keep the original for a while and just have it redirect, but I could be wrong. That's what my bank did when they changed names.

Oh, also make sure your CPU fan is running before even bothering with BIOS. Your CPU will die pretty quickly without a heatsink working properly.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Just got done putting my PC togother"

Hook the computer up to a monitor and turn it on. Even without a hard drive, you should be able to get to the BIOS. Before turning it back off and completing your assembly, make sure everything in the BIOS reflects what you have connected (does it show the same amount of RAM as what you have, etc). Once you've verified that everything is working properly, shut it down and finish your assembly.

Definitely get a new hard drive before getting a GPU. Without fixing that first problem of constant crashes, you won't be able to enjoy the GPU, let alone install any games.

Very sorry, but I really don't understand your question. Can't you just save it as a bookmark? Also, I feel like most people just search stuff on Google, anyway (which is what Chrome will do by default if you just type in words rather than a URL). Few people actually go to the address bar and type "http://... .com"

Or maybe it's just me that uses Google to find websites that I don't have saved as a bookmark.

I believe Eschaton & Skemble both do custom orders. I apologize to both users if that's not true.

EDIT: And by "custom orders," I mean they'll build for you. Not sure why I used that terminology.

Unfortunately I don't have any specific answers for you. Have you installed any AMD Vision control center (or something similar)? Basically, I'm asking if you've tried messing with the controls on the GPU at all, instead of just controls in Windows. That's really the only suggestion that I can think of since Xalian's advice didn't seem to work for you.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "tv or monitor"

Surprised you never used the fact that a full second is actually a long time. Seriously. Take a stop watch, push start & wait for a second, and tell me that's not a long time. A lot can happen in one second, specially on a game.

Sorry to bring up this old thread, but it just blows me away how ignorant adolphite27 was being...

Comment reply on Forum Topic "single or dual displays"

  • 1 point

Yeah, a dual set up would be cool if he's not using both for the game. So, have the game on one and then internet (or whatever else) on the second. Otherwise, he'd have two monitor bezels in the middle of the game, which isn't fun.

I think he likes the idea of dual...

I've seen a few 24" monitors that would be decent for dual setup.

Honestly, I think you just answered your question!

Comment reply on Forum Topic "single or dual displays"

It's really a matter of preference. Personally, if my budget for monitors was that low, I'd choose to get a better single display than two bad ones. Although, that's not to say that $125 won't get you a decent monitor. I got mine for $119 and it's fine, but for $250, I'd rather have a larger & better monitor than to get another one of the $119.

What will he be using it for? Gaming? Or just general word processing & internet browsing. If it's gaming, I'd go for the one monitor simply because I don't like the a bezel to be in the middle of my game.

If it's web browsing, word processing, video editing, or even image editing, two monitors could be a huge benifit. Although, if it's for any kind of editing, higher quality monitors could go a long way.

Not only will it tell you which part is incompatible, it actually filters out the parts that you can't use (in most cases)

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Need help learning to build my first PC"

First of all, I recommend watching YouTube videos of people building. Newegg actually has a series dedicated to teaching the very questions that you're asking. As for the compatibility issue: that's actually the best part about this site. Go to "system build" to configure your own PC. The tool will actually tell you if a part is incompatible. That's kinda the main purpose of this site.

For upgrade ability, I suggest asking specific questions in other parts of the forum. Good luck!

Maybe. To be honest, I'm actually fine with the temps now that I have cable management, case fans and an aftermarket cooler. I didn't have any of those things before. I don't see a case upgrade happening any time soon. By the time we decide to upgrade this computer, I'd probably just build a whole new system and turn this one into a NAS or something.

Thanks for your imput! =)

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Hate amd's stock coolers? Maybe this would change your mind."

I'm at work, so I haven't gotten a chance to watch the video. I'm assuming that the AMD coolers are better than Intels, but Intel's CPUs still run cooler, correct? So, based on that assumption, I ask the question: what if someone were to customize the AMD cooler and put it on an Intel CPU? Would that even be a good idea? I have an AMD cooler just lying around and I plan to make an intel build eventually.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "OutletPC?"

Seems like they're never cheaper simply because of how much they usually charge for shipping...But I've never actually completed an order with that website. Always back out once I see the shipping cost and then compare it to another retailer.
