OMG! That's awesome and crazy fast. Curious what else you use it for besides gaming and if you could add a few more pics, esp. close-ups of the MB.
Very nice components. I would like to see more pics please.
Nice inexpensive build. Thanks for posting!
I just ordered this CPU, MB and RAM, with a WD 512GB M.2 SSD. It will be going into a small 8"x8" Goodisory A01 HTTP case. I saw a YT video where it worked and have built a few PCs before. Enjoy!
Very nice build and cabling. Thanks for sharing!
I hope to build a mini-ITX PC for my 92 year old mom soon. I will use this case, GPU and fan if she does not need an optical drive. Another option is to buy an external USB optical drive w/ this case. It's just a few feet from her router so I will most likely pick a bare bones B450 MB. I have a gen2 Ryzen chip so I can update the BIOS if needed. I can't wait for the upcoming holiday deals!
One of the cleanest B&W build I have seen. Very nice job!
Very nice build and write up!
I like the stencil work. A nice tribute tof games of old.
I have a Startrek federation of Planets stenciled on mine.
Nice build, components and monitor!
A GTX 1080 for $380. Amazing deal! That's what I paid for my 1070 late Nov.
When the new NVidia drivers come out in April you might be able to get some decent ray tracing out of it at at Medium or High settings. Enjoy!
Dang. Colors must pop on that OLED. Nice job!
Nice build with nice components. Enjoy!
This on did not stick well so its just sitting on top which is fine with me.
Continue to check for BIOS updates that might resolve this.
Nice to see builds that are not for gaming. Thanks gor posting. Enjoy!
I have the same issue with my RAM on an ASUS B450 MB. I bought 2 seperate 16 GB kits and later learned I should have bought 1 32 GB kits because they are certified at these higher clock speeds as a single kit. At 3100 speed I'm quite satisfied.
Thanks for the indepth analysis of your build. I just would have liked to have hear more about sound dampening and fan curves. Just kidding. I would prefer dental cavity drilling without novacane instead. I just hope you created a "Silent Build", the requirements for which you can find online. Good work!
Killer GPU and nice CPU. You could have also named this Green Lantern RTX.
Sorry. On most MBs each NVME port takes up 2 SATA ports. This MB must be special.
Awesome machine! Nice job keeping it under $5K. A good thing you selected a MB with 8 SATA ports as you needed them all.
Eight core CPU for under $175. That's almost more amazing thatn getting that cooler inside that case.
Have you tried OCing yet? Details please.
What apps are you using that require so many cores/threads?
How do you like the Dell monitor? I bought the same one in December and the colors look amazing.
Not hard at all. Just loosen a thumb screw in the back and it pops out and slides up/off.
Nice gaming build. 1 pt from me. I bet the games play nicely for years to come. Thx for posting.
Yeah, electrinocs can be pricey in most European countries compared to US
Nice build. I converted swedish krona to usd and it came to about $1,900 USD.
An OCable iCPU that includes a cooling fan for under a $100? Amazing! The rasperypie of CPUs.
I still have a SB 2400 CPU and it works fine for anything but gaming so I built my forst PC in Nov and love it. I started gaming in the mid 70s on my TV with games like pong and block out, progressing to PC gaming in the 90s with games like Myst and Riven, where you were happy to get 1 frame per sec at 640 res. Now you are playing at 144 fps! Say WHAAAAT!
Nice CPU. Rip those threads Baybay!
I'm guessing the games he's playing are not CPU intensive. Otherwise they would have recommended a 2700x and RTX1080 with $ to spare for a 1TB SSD.
Very nice build with plenty of room for growth, exept for the RTX. Congratulations!
Nice B&W build. The parts & cables look great! Enjoy!
I disagree since streaming is one of the use cases. Without the need for that, changing to the 1660TI is a no-brainer and reduce the price to the magic $1K figure.
Welcome back. Nice job! I see 2 extra fans in the pic not on parts list. What are they?
More pics please.
Very nice parts and build. Cingratulations. Amazing prices too. I would have gone with a 27" or 34" monitor. 1 pt from me.
Nice build. I bet it works well at 2K with High settings. How did you get that GPU for that $? Most are in the $450 range.
Nice parts and build. Congrats!
I would love to see.a few closeup pics added.
Awesome build and parts. Congratulations!
It should get you thru your college years and beyond! Enjoy. 1 point from me.
Awesome GPU and build! 1 pt from me.
Very nice of you to do this for him. Nice CPU, GPU and Ram! Why no SSD? Are you carrying some kind or grudge?
16 cores, 32 threads? Thats one bad *** machine!. Enjoy.
Absolutely beautiful. Enjoy!
I bought it from V1 Tech. It did not stick well to the back so its kind of sitting there, which is fine.
Good idea pairing with your home AV system. I bet it looks and sounds awesome!
Have you tried turbo mode? OCing?
You should be at least up to 4.3 with that cooler, possibly stable at 4.5.
You should be able to run the CPU at 4.5 or higher. Have you tried?
What speed do you run your CPU?
How do you get 4.2 on all cores using the stock cooler?
Has it been stable?
Very nice build in a small case. That RTX should handle the video decoding for streaming on its own without the need for a second PC. Enjoy!
This SHOULD be featured!
