Sorry for the delayed reply, it's been super busy here. Yeah, the Versa H15 should come with a single 120mm in the back iirc.

I meant specific model; so the exact part you want.

Depends what parts you're looking for. Newegg usually has pretty good daily and weekly deals.

Oh, well I misread your original post. Thought the setup was the same the entire time. So Window's "Listen to this device" is generally just really bad. You should only use it when you have no other option. The latency problem you're getting is most likely due to the audio being encoded multiple times. External devices are meant to solve exactly this problem, so glad you figured it out haha.

This is quite an interesting problem. Shot in the dark: If you use Ethernet, can you try using WiFi, or vice versa? Disable the one you're not using. Also try disabling both and using another network card, if possible.

EDIT: Actually, having thought about it more, it's possible the drivers for your network adapters were corrupted (better than assuming the hardware is damaged). See if you can do a clean reinstall.

What happened to make this problem appear?

a) Shouldn't, and b) Might be a slight upgrade, but quality difference is most likely negligible.

Make sure you have any and all audio effects turned off! Otherwise the audio will sound distorted. This is usually only a problem on prebuilts since those usually come with bloatware.

Make sure the GPU is slotted in correctly, power cables are all plugged in, and the monitor is plugged into the GPU?

If it doesn't fit your head properly you can't do much about it. The only suggestion I have is to try changing the earpads, maybe pick up some Brainwavz or something.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Can i get some help with drivers please"

  • 1 point

No problem, when I said drivers I thought it was implied GeForce Experience. Either way if you already have it installed, I mean, cool.

Anyway ive decided to just hard reset my PC and im back on it fine now with wiondows and ive downloaded basic stuff such as my antivirus's (bitdefender and malwarebytes) and got some drivers for my mouse/keyboard and downloaded geforce experiance again for my gtx1080. i am somewhat confused as to what drivers i need to install and what i should be doing straight away, as in do i need to install a motherboard driver again like when i first built my computer or is that outside of the in windows reset option entirely?

Somehow when I read this I thought you were having issues with the graphics drivers lol. Clearly I misunderstood, hopefully others answered your question.

Download the graphic drivers straight from NVIDIA, it will automatically detect and install the right ones.

If you want to save time, just do a clean install of the graphics drivers instead. I can almost guarantee your Windows is fine.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Why do lower end speakers make static?"

  • 1 point

Sorry, I shouldn't have phrased that as a question; what I meant is that the hissing you're hearing is probably just noise. static noise you're hearing is just thermal noise, which is normal for electrical components to emit. It can also be from EMI.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "RTX 2070 Instability/Artifacting. Could it be PSU?"

  • 1 point

It's just for a quick check to see if the PSU needs to be RMA'd or not. The point is to make it simple and fast so you don't have to do everything you just described unless it's necessary. But good info.

EDIT: Also, the advice I gave is while assuming OP doesn't have another system to test it on. Because if they did, testing the GPU in the other system will be a quick indicator of which part is faulty.

I'm guessing the cheaper speakers don't have a built in DAC?

Comment reply on Forum Topic "RTX 2070 Instability/Artifacting. Could it be PSU?"

It's probably the GPU, but if you want to make sure the PSU is fine, just take out the GPU and run the system off on-board.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Is getting studio headphones pointless if you're not an audiophile?"

  • 0 points

Just want to point out that studio headphones are different from audiophile headphones which are different from everything else that's targeting most consumers.

While it's true that studio headphones are designed to sound accurate rather than good, the headsets you recommended are designed for gaming rather than to sound good. If OP wants the best sounding (in terms of music) headphone for the price you can't beat chi-fi audiophile gear.

I'm pretty confident the Shure mic is the best one in general, but for streaming purposes the Blue Yeti is fine. The AT2020 is better for music, but if you apply EQ and other settings it does sound better than the Yeti. Just Youtube mic comparisons to hear the differences.
