crucial ballistix ram is just fine what he needs is faster ram to boost the performance he can get out that ryzen cpu. i also have the ryzen 5 1600 and 3000mhz seems to be the sweet spot for that chip. ive overclocked my gskill ripjaw 4 series 3000mhz cl15 ram to 3200mhz and only seen about 2 more points increased performance in cinebench so i just dropped it back to 3000mhz cl15 and let it do its thing. so point being your ram is fine bro but if you can overclock any higher id recommend doing so. ryzen chips love fast ram :)

bro i got a ryzen 5 1600 with a 1050ti 4gb and with only the shadows turned to medium i get 100+frames so no you dont need the 6gb card if thats all your going to be doing. the 3gb would serve you damn near just as well as the 6gb card anyway just without the future proofing of the higher vram but no worries there for you unless something comes out in the future that needs that and also sparks your interest. entirely up to you if it was me id prolly go ahead an get the 6gb but if all i had was enough cash for 3gb i def get it.

whatsa up nice build man.. first thing i have that same monitor but mine is the white version and its great no funky pic with mine at all i absolutely love it man, played with the settings just a bit though but still even out of the box it was pretty nice pic. 2nd thing def get an aftremarket cooler, you say it wont do much but i think your wrong from what ive heard those intel stock coolers are crappy as fk. you can get a deepcool gammax for like 24 dollars and the rgb's on it would look great in your case :) and should be perfect for an i5 or if your mnot into rgb's a coolermaster 212 evo is cheap and you can absolutely not go wrojng picking one up. anyways gfood luck brother enjoy that beauty an take care.

edit... just noticed you was rocking the i5 8400 so ya since you cant overclock that chip you are right a new air cooler wont help that much although it would still help get you a few degrees cooler cpu but not that big of a deal tbh if your not going to be overclocking. intels fan should atleast keep that chip below its boiling point i would hope so as long as your chips not cooking you can leaving the stock fan but it would make it look alot sexier if you swapped it out. entirely up to you though so long as your chip is running at a decent temp. if its getting too hot for your comfort then def switch it out.

congrats on your build man looks really good and i hope your enjoying it. one thing tho you did say that you got the 1060 3gb cause itd be good for a year and youd prolly be upgrading that in a year or so well since your already planning on upgrading in a year or so i kinda wish you had just got the 1050ti and a ryzen 5 1600. not to be critical or anytyhing if your happy with what you built bro thats all that matters and im happy for you either way but i myself own a 1050ti and ryzen 5 1600 and its amzing man idk about the 3 1200 but my 5 1600 is an absolute beast and i doubt ill be upgrading my cpu for quite a few years atleast. 6cores/12threads for multitasking and productivity o ya and the gaming on this msi 1050ti oc 4gt graphics card which by the way is one of the cheapest 1050ti's you can get and that said the perforamce is actually pretty darn good. now i cant really sync my 75mhz/84mhz with an overclock monitor but thats fine with me i been playing doom, runescape3, fortnite, battlefield1, etc and evberythings been on high or ultra with some high fps. 80+ on doom, rs3 80-100, fortnite, i can get i think around 120 with one or 2 settings on mid like the shadows which i dont really need to shoot ppl lol. now battlefield1 i actually havent looked at my fps yet cause i just got the game an havent played it much and i have heard that game is really tough on a system so idk but the gameplay i have done was enjoyable and smooth and it looked really good to my noob eyes lol. anyways sorry so long i truely hope you enjoy your new build and it does look pretty sweet man just my opinin on the cpu but like i said only your happiness matters just something i would of done for better future proofing so as to not have to upgrade the cpu anytime soon but ya have fun gaming and take care :)

ya keep the back top fan as exhaust cause hot air rises for one so by making atleast one fan in the top of the case and exhause it will help to maximize the expulsion of all that hot air. you might already know that by now just something ive learned along the way and thought id let ya know. if your anything like me since building my first gaming pc i just been trying to learn as much about this stuff as i can. could almost say im a tech junky now lol least thats what my wife would say :)

actually hes using a 74hz monitor:) just saying he did say that he clocked it to 74mhz and besides that it actually would of helped i think because he would of experienced better lows with a better cpu and there fore would of had a all around smoother gaming experience. cause his system wouldnt be dropping off as hard.. now i could be wrong and it really wouldnt surprise me about that cause i am still very new to pc gaming myslef, actually only been in the game for about 2 months now but from what ive learned so far, i believe that statement to be true. although it prolly could of been worded better im sure :)

sweet build grats on the wedding and grats on the build :) just built my first pc about 2months back and yet i cant stay away from this site and the reason is because of builds like yours. i love getting on here and seeing ppls imaginations come to life with these builds and yours is def one of em it looks pretty sweet man. i too am a fan of the white set up got me a white pc case with a white curved 75mhz acer monitor now i just need a white mouse and keyboard and ill be set lol:) anyways i was going to comment about the gpu being on the bottom till i seen that this guy had already brought it up and so i was just wondering if you had tried out the different slots yet and if you had discovered any difference in performance or not? i have the asus b350 f gaming board myself and i tried out the middle slot and i didnt really notice a difference myslef but and idk if this is true about the x370 boards or not but i believe the top slot is pcie 16, the middle is pcie 8 and the bottom is pcie 4 but i could be mistaken about that. so anyways just curious if you tried it out or not :) take care and congrats again enjoy your sweet setup man theres really nothing like building your own gaming rig and then enjoying it, its amazing :)

k so i did the bios update and everything went well except my ram is still clocked at 2133mhz. i saw several postings fom others that when they did there bios update there ram speed aoutomatically went up to the closest speed there ram was suppose to be running. so something i didnt notice about my mobo is that it doesnt support 3000mhz ram it does 2933mhz and 3200mhz but not 3k and thats what i got but it should of went up to 2933mhz atleast without me manually setting to that speed right? or do i have to have to do it manually? could of sworn the posts i saw they said it did it on theres auto tho.

well can you help me with something then? im a little confused as to how to put it on a driver. i downloaded the newest bios and went and extracted it onto the usb as the guides and what noit online say to do so now all i do is just go into bios and load it up right? or is there something else i need to do with the usb first? i dont entirely understand the zipped files stuff and it kinda confused me a bit which is another reason i havent done the update yet. just wondering if you could explain how to properly put it on a usb and load it up cause you kinda seem like you know what your talking about. if you dont weanna break it all down thats fine i thank you for all your previous input o an did go and redo some of my reviews your right it did look pretty rough especially without periods and being so damn long:)

updating isnt risky? ive seen tons of articles online saying that if you loose power during the update, if your updating with a usb or if you loose internet connection, if your updating over the internet, that your motherboard could become bricked. might be minimal risk but still it took me awhile to be able to afford this stuff i dont want to risk damaging it if i dont have to. also ive looked into the issues with the motherboard and it seems that these problems have been going on for some time, at least a year if not longer. also my mobo bios is up to date as of nov 2017 but there is an update as of i think it was sometime in feb but that said the ppl with the same problems a year back havent had any luck so why should i risk my mobo when bios updates havent helped them. so why would i think that it would help me? tbh tho when and if i figure this out itll prolly make me smack my for head like wow it was really that simple at which time i will change my review. in the meantime tho it is a problem and from the research ive done about it its not just me. sorry i didnt use periods ill revamp my comments soon to fix that. i honestly didnt realize itd be a problem. ty for your honesty and take care.

hey man fyi i was wrong about the fortnite fps on 1080p im getting 80fps with everything set on high and that with the games recommended settings screw that i tweaked it a bit and i can actually get around 120fps with some minor modifications hell just setting the shadow effects to medium boosted it up to 100fps also atm idk if it affects the game play but i also have my web browser open with 5 pages up but idk if that affects the game or not also 2 monitors of course:) hope this helps ya out just wanted to correct my earlier statement of 60fps cause thsat was with vsync turned on and my monitor was turned down to 60mhz so the fps was set to mirror that now my monitor is on 75mhz which is standard speed for this one and vsync is off so def better fps then what o told you earlier anyways take care later
