Hi, I've been looking for info about which bios version works on overclocking a g3258 since I will be getting one this friday and I can see that you said it works with version 1.70. Does the bios version vary depending on which motherboard you're using or it (1.70) is a general bios version for g3258 no matter what MOBO you use. I'm sorry, i'm new to this.

yes, the H97, H87, B85 and H81 but I think you can overclock better on a Z97 chipset.
