Nice build but why did you end up going with the aged 8350 and not new ryzen?

Did you run into any issues with the components selected? I want to build a budget PC for my dad. Looking to choose the same parts as you did but perhaps with a SSD.

It was all pretty seamless. Ryzen is out now so if I were you I'd go with that.

They draw 40% more power from a PSU? You must be uneducated. Or dumb.

Nice but, why does it matter if the CPU has "4K video embedded out of the box"? You're using s discrete GPU anyway.

I own the asus strix r9 380 and get temps in the 60s under load at times; I'm quite certain it's designed to run at these temps with no issue. Great build.

Really liking the build. The r9 380 is a great piece. I have one in my build as well. The PSU is fine. Not the greatest but more than sufficient for the build. Not worth any hassle taking apart and buying another.

Great case. I have the same one. It's quite small for a atx mobo, but decent cable management. I feel you in regards to the CPU power hole; it was a pain but I managed to make it work. Even still, I love the case.

I have a similar case for my budget APU build. Got it for REALLY cheap ( $30?). That computer is just a family computer so I didn't really care that it didn't have cable management. I recently build a more powerful desktop with a much better case!

+1 for the build!

I don't think it's worth upgrading to 8350 at this point in time for you. You have a very capable CPU when OC'd and that GPU is a beast.

Correct..it only drastically reduces seek times on accessing the hard drive. So that means load times, loading software and OS (if the OS is installed on the SSD). It will not increase any graphical performance. RAID info: http://searchstorage.techtarget.com/definition/RAID

Very nice build. I would advise on getting a SSD next. Immensive boost on performance.
