I keep a short well kept beard year round. I do grow it out for no-shave but then I take it back down to my normal afterwards.

UPDATE: 3:04 PM | I have just applied eyeliner for the first time since 2017

If you were a guy wearing eyeliner as party of the "emo" scene, you are 10 years too late, even in 2017. lol

Also consider having a logo from a band/song on your forever. Think about what boomers with grateful dead tattoos look like...

I'm not saying not to do it, just to be sure its something you want for the rest of your life.

Make sure to get it high enough on your wrist that a long sleeve shirt completely covers it. Also be aware that your future place of work may require tattoos to be covered and therefore you'll be stuck in a long sleeve all summer while your co-workers are in short sleeve button downs. I recommend getting it somewhere that can be covered by a short sleeve shirt.

Can't argue with crazy. I bow out.

American crime rates are really only bad in the major cities. Moreover, some of these cities have reducing crime rates over time.

Murder rate in USA per 100,000: 5.3%
Murder rate in Sweden per 100,000: 1.1% Hell even many "developing" countries have lower murder rates than America.

The American rights are given by God.

I ******* can't.

what country is better than America for purposes of life, government, and stability?

Pretty much any Scandinavian country is significantly safer (stability), not insanely divided based on BS politics that prevent progress (government), and have higher overall happiness (life) and better healthcare/education systems (life).

Better at what?

There are definitely countries which outshine America in lots of categories such as but not limited to health care availability, college tuition costs, quality of education, quality of healthcare, prescription drug costs, violent crime rates, overall happiness of the individual, debt per person, federal debt, and more.

I think that there are many ways America falls short of other countries. Its difficult to quantify a "best country" because there are so many factors, but I do believe that other countries get things right that America gets wrong.

Not even considerable when compared to the many years of benefit one can receive.

What in the **** "years of benefit" can one gain from receiving a paper copy of the constitution as a birthday gift at 13. If my parents got me that **** I'd be like wow my parents must hate me, or I was a bad kid.

Sorry dude, but no kid wants this. They want games, electronics, clothes, other fun/cool stuff. Especially in today's political climate, no 13 year wants a copy of the constitution.

If your car got hit in/near the wheel, all your alignment stuff is probably messed up now. You may likely need inner and outer tie rods at minimum. You should get the vehicle on an alignment rack to assess the damage.

The chips on pretty much all RAM are made in one of 3 factories. There isn't much variance in actually quality between bottom barrel RAM and top dollar RAM.

PSU quality is 100x more important than RAM quality.

Its an issue worth raising people's anxiety about, so I see the use of the word totally acceptable.

Do you think there's anything we can do about it reducing the dramatic changes?

Absolutely. We need to be working harder to get away from fossil fuels and moving towards renewable energy.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Climate crisis??"

You can use the word 'crisis' or whatever other word you want. The point is that climate IS changing and its NOT good. Call it a crisis. Call it a getting hotter party. Doesn't matter. The facts are that we are experiencing a change of climate that is extremely detrimental to the planet and ourselves.

I'm pretty sure this is no longer a question. Its a fact. The question people love to debate is what effect humans have and do have and if we can actually make a change or not.

Isn't your new company paying you decently well? Ask for $1000 in relocation assistance. This is VERY standard and a small amount to ask for. They will help you out. I'm sure you can come up with $1000 for rent. You'll be working a high paying job, as you said previously, so figuring out one month of rent should be a trivial thing to do.

EDIT: Also, how did you plan for severance you didn't know you were going to get to be used for rent?

The shifter isn't even really "gated". Its just a steel plate they put over the shifter to make it feel and seem gated. You can actually buy it directly from Audi and bolt it to tons of cars. It has a VW part number. Ive driven lots of supercars and honestly the R8 is just one of the few that doesn't feel like if you beat on it it'll fall apart. It's also the most DIY friendly by far. Next most would be a pre-LP Gallardo with a stick.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "All electric cars - any owners?"

In my area TONS of people rely on Teslas as their main vehicle and have 0 issues as charging stations are everywhere. It really depends on where you are located.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "All electric cars - any owners?"

Nah, its really not. When you live in a decently populated part of the country you are never more than a mile from a charging station typically. Any well established town or city will have them.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "All electric cars - any owners?"

Most hotels people with Teslas will stay at have charging stations, but its not a big deal to drive the car to dinner and leave it plugged in for 2 hours. I have never heard any of them complain about not being able to charge.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "All electric cars - any owners?"

You can look up the range for any electric vehicle and deter mine if a specific trip is doable or not, but my friends have done plenty of trips requiring a charge at the hotel with is never an issue.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "Did I pick the wrong major?"

Its rare for someone to graduate and have a job that is pulling in the upper 5 figures range.

This is completely dependent on major and and how hard you network senior year. Most (over 50%) of my friends in college graduated and started work at a job that paid $60k+.

Comment reply on Forum Topic "All electric cars - any owners?"

This is all completely dependent on the car itself and the type of charger being used.

There are more electric options than just the ones you listed.

I have friends with Teslas and they have never complained or worried about being able to charge up.

Modern Nissans are generally pretty good.

They have ironed out most all of the CVT issues of the late 2000s and they offer good cars for the money. They are trying to rebuild their reputation after some issues in the American market in the late 2000s and their newer cars are quite good.

Another AE86 that's well sorted like my last one.
I like Astons but they are pieces of **** so IDK if i'd enjoy owning one.
Probably a low-spec trim 6 speed manual V8 R8. Reliable and DIY friendly as far as supercars go.
I have more dream projects than just straight up dream cars.
There are a few other AMG cars i'd like to add to my stable.

Here is an album from my local Cars and Coffee I made from Saturday. Date is wrong because I'm a doofus. I go to this meet often and there are plenty of dream cars there.

Humans have been in control of the earth for so long. Too long.

Humans have never been in control of the Earth. Humans have been in control of the existence of our kind, and even when we are long gone, whether that's war, mass extinction, nuclear fallout, etc, the Earth will continue on without us. We don't control it. It has been here for billions of years prior to us and it'll be here billions of years after we are long gone.
