It's not possible for it to be 7.2C unless his room is 7.2C. I think AjKulikowski is right and it is an AMD error cause my processor reads very low (Like at 12C and the room is about 21C) in temp when idle.
One lucky customer... I can say they are going to love this rig for Gaming and even possibly video editing with that i7.
The Watercooling alone costs $300 more than my rig lol
That board is great for overclocking, wish I got it :(
I just bought the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and have overclocked to a steady 4.2 GHz. The widgets are at http://addgadgets.com/gpu_meter/ and http://addgadgets.com/all_cpu_meter/
Edit: And thanks about the nice build part :)
Agreed for sure!
I can't stop looking at the gif, nice setup too!
Nice Build :)
I like it, Kinda similar to mine performance-wise
Lol, I'm sorry I made you look bad then :P
Uhh, Corsair makes fans and they have rads.... The H50, H60, H70, H80, H90, H100, H100i, H105 and so on.
On a budget this is great, I had to be on a budget for my PC too, although my school gave me Windows 8.1 for free. I don't know why you're getting so much hate though, I think the build is very reasonable (Although this is the perspective of a 16 year old). You got some pretty good deals for even squeezing in that monitor.
He has one for the CPU and one for the GPU...
I agree, he isn't that great. But I definitely know that it's great info which kinda turns me away from a 3-way monitor setup in the future until the Game dev's decide to make it 3 FULL monitors.
Might I add this... http://youtu.be/Nfcic3whaHE?t=2m39s
If you listen to what he says, the game really only renders 2 monitors and stretches the screen on the left and right monitor.
So your FOV is really only 2 Times larger :P
Not arguing, just informing the un-informed.
Nice PC, but could you mail me one of those 780Ti's? :D
That was actually what i planned to get and then I scavenged a few more dollars and got the 8320. I just got the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and overclocked the CPU to the power of the 8350 (4 GHz)!
I should also include that if you plan to OC make sure you get a Great Mobo, I wish I chose a better one knowing that I wanted to OC a bit :/
I'm 16 and couldn't afford anything close to this sexy beast
The case is wide enough, just bought my 212 2 weeks ago for my build in this case
Woah! Haven't seen many builds with this case! I love this case on my PC.
And for cooling I would say get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, I just bought it 2 weeks ago and it has lowered my temps by a lot considering I also have the same processor.
I really like this build but it's probably cause mine is literally the same thing when it comes to the parts haha. Good job with that budget too, I couldn't manage to fit an SSD into my budget :(
Also if your CPU runs that hot when Idle you should get more case fans or get a better cooler.
Yea when I built mine back in April my 8320 didn't come with a Tin either.
Great build in my opinion, I have a similar build except yours is on the Intel side of things.
Actually I think the RAM is fine for it but the real issue is the CPU Power cable not having enough clearance which you can see in picture 12.
Similar to mine, I like this!
I'd like to see it too!
Thanks a lot!
This can handle anything thrown at it
Someone will eventually say this but I'll be the first, your RAM is in the wrong slots. Move your sticks to the Blue Slots, the manual says that's how to do Dual Channel.
After that, I really like this, I have the FX 8320 and will be overclocking it to make it the 8350. I also have a GTX 760 and love that too so this build is a bit more than mine but, hey I'm only 16 :P
I have one word: L-O-L
Y'know this isn't that bad, this is actually what I would have done! I did run into more money though and got a 760 along with the FX 8320 but considering we're both 16, it's pretty hard to get money. In my opinion this is great for games, two of my friends have the same processor and have no issues and I have another friend who SLI'd 3 750Ti's which is the dumbest thing ever but he likes them.
That's one cool thermometer, I'd love to get one but in my instance I can't put it inside the PC cause I have no windows + it's the sides are inside of my desks legs if that makes any sense (if not just check out my build :D)
And I know that 4670k will handle ANYTHING you throw at it, it is a monster of a CPU! Also, the cooler that I recommend for you if you're looking on the cheaper end I would rather go with the Hyper 212 EVO, it's great for overclocking and the 4670k doesn't have a lot of heat issues like Ivy and Sandy Bridge did. Good luck on this build, I would love to check it out once it's finished!
I am left speechless.... I love my single 760 and my friend has two but damn this build is sexy as hell. If I was a computer I would totally, uhh, put my hard drive in this if you know what i'm saying.
Just to let you know that isn't so accurate, sure it shows what it could be at max load but that doesn't include any overclocking, just something to look out for, overall i really like it compared to mine although i have a lower motherboard and the FX 8320 in my build.
If I were him I'd love that for Minecraft and all. I'm 16 so I play minecraft here and there with a few mods, not that your son would or wouldn't know them they can have your PC run the game in Multi-Core mode rather than in Single core mode. The mod for that is called Optifine, it lets you tweak the game a bit and get the best performance you can. Not sure how old he is but tell him I said Congrats to winning the spelling bee, that's a great accomplishment and he should be proud!
Titanfall would be great on this build, my friend has a 660 and it runs Titanfall on High as well as mine too.
Thanks man, I tried my best, this case is abit hard to handle for cable management IMO :D
Your build is very similar to mine, performance-wise, if you wanna check it out.
Or keeping it very steady ;D
This build makes me think of Heaven. Maybe if it just had a 780Ti it would be the best around ;)
That RAM is stock clocked at 1333 and you have to manually change it.
I agree with you on the TRIM support and that they last MUCH longer than HDD's, didn't factor that in but backups can be made to the Hard Drive considering he has 4 TB on there :P
Well that's what a backup is for :) he can make a backup on the HDD, unless all 3 drives die at one time, that's a bit misfortunate then but also a bit impractical.
Are those SSD's in a RAID 0? If not, I really recommend it because it will be double the read AND write speeds. Even though they're fast enough already it would still be crazy fast!
It's not, it lets you have your start menu back on just windows 8
