Nice job man. Im sure you have seen my Lian li PcV3000 build too. Freaking love yours. I can def say your back is even cleaner than mine. I still like mine too though. There different styles, but both amazing. I really like the fan cover. I hand made everything on mine. https://pcpartpicker.com/b/FQLJ7P
have you checked out my lian li pcv3000? I did mine before this one, never got featured :( His is def as clean as mine, in different ways. I spent countless hours trying to hide everything like he did, every cable and transistor.
nice looking build, but its your pictures that are really out of this world. Nice job. Your a girl that likes photography and building Pc's? Marry me?
That ram is dope. This is the first UV build ive seen in a long time that i love. vedy vedy nice.
I love acrylic too man. I got some Acrylic black tubing, after doing all my builds in PETG, I LOVED how much shinier acrylic is. I think im acrylic for life now. PETG is just a little easier. Great job!
My black tubing.
WHAT??? You built a rig out of extenders??? Thats genius. Are you the first to do this?
Honestly here is how you get likes/ features. 1.) Build pretty clean, no loose cables no junk visible. 2.) Have some color coordination 3.) THE MOST IMPORTANT PART, take nice photos. Honestly the first 2 can be excluded. If you take a nice photo your featured. I understand the allure, but some builds get completely looked over because they used a cell and not a $2000 DSLR, even thought months of work went into the PC itself. Its crazy. With that said, this guy takes some of the best pics i have ever seen on this site. And not to take away from his build, its beautiful. Its just there are 10000000 others just like it. Again though, nice build, AMAZING pictures.
What in the world... Why does the tubing look so different than what I am used too. I read in description link tubing? Never heard of it. I have built with all sorts of tubing before, my last build was acrylic. But what in the world, it looks like the fitting is inside the tube? It looks cool, its just i have never seen this before.
I dont know why i like this so much considering its not watercooled. But yet, I do! :)
Ah the reddit build. Nice job again!
Oh I took that all apart and did other builds with the parts, looking back on this now, im like, ehhh this build of mine is kinda mediocre. You should see my other ones now. But if i remember, I had to REALLY work in tight spaces for this one. Only an EK slim will fit up top, or maybe the GTS nemesis, something thin, and still, everything was just so tight to work in.
those enermax fans do that trippy wired look? Thats cool looking. A 480 rad with those fans in the bottom would look even more dope-erer. I gots this case too, its on this site too if you search by cases its the skull one. I just like seeing others builds in this case, cause I like the case so much.
I love that case as well. I have one myself. Its on here if you search for builds by parts/cases, its the skull one. I love it alot, I just wish I could see the work you did cleaning up the case and stuff. The one picture you have without lights on, is blurry so its hard to tell what case mod work went into it. But nice job man its very pleasing to look at.
Thanks so much!
Ah you had a chance to see it! Thx!
I have a secret...ssshh...( Its just vinyl wrap of brushed aluminum, all the metal looking stuff is just wrapped acrylic).
But the mobo armor you see, to have that surround the components that tightly in one solid piece took 45 hours itself, so even though its acrylic is still took alot of time. If I had to do it again, from what I learned, I could probably do it in 10-20 hours.
Haha thats my favorite comment ever! Love that
Hey I redid the setup. I posted it here and on reddit. Thought you might like to see to compare.
i like the big fat tubes, super clean
Hey man! I didnt even know I was a contestant until the voting was over, but I got entered into bit techs modding competition for last month and won. I also just found out I am the number 1 most liked post of all time on reddits watercooling forum. Thats a HUGE replacement for being snubbed here. I just told one other guy on here who just messaged me, but between that and peoples nice words like yours, that more than makes up for the snub here. Thanks again, I just thought you might like to hear that!
thanks man for the nice words. They might have snubbed me but I got lots of recognition elsewhere, I made it to Ek's Hall of fame, won bit techs mod competition for May, and I am the all time top post/ liked post, on reddit's watercooling forum. So between that and the kind words from people like you, i couldn't ask for more!
Yea i posted a reddit post with pics and a video of the monitoring process for heat. I got temp probes and monitored through software, then got a temp gun and monitored with that as well. Absolutely no effects whatsoever having those covered due to my fans above blowing air directly down on them, and the holes in the heatsinks allow airflow right down on those VRMS.
I didnt get butthurt until AFTER they posted 2 other features that came out AFTER mine did.
not to beat a dead horse, but the current one, the dude painted a few parts. Oh and did a sleeve cable. omg... I dont get there selection process..
dang they really didnt like mine I guess
yea windows movie maker, how did you know?
Oh and to your message:
yea i already accepted they just don't like it. I think they don't like me personally, maybe made some comments in the past, or maybe they like nicer quality pics like i mentioned earlier, but who knows.
I would start on another build, but I cant afford it. Maybe I can ask for sponsorship. Ill start working on some designs, and I will work on that.... Thanks though for everything!
haha, the video isnt that great lol, im not that good at making videos. But thats hilarious you reported your comment. I think they choose builds with really nice pictures, like people who use DSLRs maybe.
I made a video last night of the build process, as i had many requests to see how i did it, and they didnt want to read a long 14 page build log.
here it is
wow man i think thats the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for me. thanks alot for that! I made a video last night of the build process, as i had many requests to see how i did it, and they didnt want to read a long 14 page build log.
oh and honestly the whole time I was making this, I was thinking 3 things. 1.) I hope it gets featured here or reddit
2.) I hope someone gets inspired and also makes a NVC build. (No visible cable)
3.) I hope next build I do can get some parts for free, sponsored, if they like this one enough. The last 2 of those will take some time, but the first I will know in the next week or two.
Eh its, fine, you guys make it worth it! Thanks so much!
I fear the day I have to remove the CPU and swap it. At first it was the reservoir that was the fear, siiting in that custom bracket held on with 1 tiny tiny screw and a drop of superglue, there was no room for tubing to squeeze in, or secure enough to force tubes in. Thank god for someone telling me about that fitting barrow makes, the "EXPANABLE/RETRACTABLE extender fitting". That thing is freaking amazing, i dont know how I had never heard of those. Lifesavers they are, for situations like the reservoir, and other tight fits.
eh, its fine, the users nice words mean more anyways! Thanks so much
true, im not sour about it anymore, i guess it was just the initial shock of being skipped. But the users seem to like it regardless, so for now thats enough for me. Thanks man for the nice words!
nope it doesnt have to be featured apparently, yes im sour about it lol what do i have to do if 4 months of work doesnt deserve a feature?
wow they put up apocraphya or whatever and not mine.....dont get me wrong he had a sweet build, but there was nothing to it, other than plugging in compenents and tubes, I could build his in a weekend. Man...im def never posting here again
Just moved to NC couple years ago, so in Raleigh now
oh haha ive seen some of your builds, I saw your HTPC on youtube and commented I liked it! We briefly talked before, thats hilarious, yea you def have some nice builds.
Oh and Yea I commented on his build, "Dangit Man you might take that spot of feature instead of me, this is sweet build very nice" I assumed it was like one a month or something.
And there are alot of nice builds lately, but not many are out of the box different like mine, so originality should get me a few points on there system I would think. Thanks though!
just put it up day or two ago. Also, i have No idea how that works, like is it a feature a month, and if so do you have to submit it, or do moderators just look around and pick one. Like no clue how that works, i asked someone else and got 0 responses. But thanks though!
dangit....now I see your gonna give me a run for my money for feature next month, and you might get it with this very nice build, im impressed. Congrats. (That corsair lighting and the node pros are sweet right? There in my build too). Evil Elegance is my build, if you end up checking it out.
Nice clean build, I HAVE to have CLEAN as the priority in my builds. With my recent build post here, I kept wishing for my own (also a ASUS RoG) board that they offered them in pitch black. They always make them in what they call black, but its more like a smoky dark dark grey. But I am getting off topic, your builds sweet.
Yea the whole build started with that idea, and morphed around that. That was the focal point. No one out of the 200 comments totaled has noticed the skull in the center is floating, can you guys tell it is in the pictures or does it not come across in the pictures I took?
Ha i love peoples comments, i read every single one. Thanks man
Thanks so much for the nice words!
Nope, each of the tools I have, and I didnt include the table saw, I had NEVER used before. I think thats partly why it took 4 months. If I built it again right now, I could probably do it in 2 now that I know how to use those tools. Lots of trial and error. With an emphasis on error. Lol, I keep saying, making amazing builds doesnt require skill, it requires the ability to fail and keep trying, its persistence.
For plex, we have alot of music/movies, we like to share with roommates or family, plex is awesome, it allows people to upload whatever they purchase or download onto a server, then everyone with the password can access it from their smart tv, or phone or whatever.
Dude your build is sick but your photos are crazy good. Ugh If I had this camera for the rig I just posted yesterday.....Ugh, i would kill it. God pictures make a HUGE difference. This looks so beautiful, but you can actually get justice for this system with pics like that. My pics didnt do my completed build any justice,....
First, sweet build, I love mini builds. Second, how do you get your build featured? I would love if my build I just put up would get featured, but I dont know how to do it, or show it to whoever chooses. Do you have to do anything?
Once you have components adding extra stuff isnt too expensive, a dremel, a dremel moto saw, and a hand held drill is all you need. Those 3 together about $220, plus buying the acrylic itself, another $20-60.
Clean clean its the way to be thanks bro!
