Updated my parts list. The system is a few years old now, so thats why you'll find some older parts. Funny how time flies. Added two more SSD's in raid zero and my evga 780 ti round the start of last year. Have yet to have any issues with any of the hardware (knock-knock).
Great build! Solid parts, and it looks really clean. you've built yourself a power house here and it should last for years to come. Good job picking the GTX 670 as it has an outstanding in price/performance.
awesome build and it looks great. I to would go w/ a 128 or 240 SSD, this is a must for a build like this. Turn your WD black into the data drive and re-install the OS on the SSD. It will blow your mind ;)
Great build, very clean looking and solid parts! Only thing i would do is look into upgrading he cpu cooler to go alone w/ that "k" cpu :)
man, the more i look the more i really dig the 350d. I have a 650d, but its somewhat dated. Time for an update Corsair :)
Anyway, me wants a 350d :)
Awesome build and great mod :) I love the 350d corsair case and you did a great job filling it up.
ha! thank you for finding that type-o. fixed.
Awesome build! very fast, great parts and nice work w/ the cables :)
Oh, and the CPU... P O W E R !! :)
Thank you. And your right, SSD's are receiving updates at a fast rate, but I'm not going to chase my tail on this as the M4 is plenty fast. Also, they are reliable. We've upgrade all laptops @ work with this model (over 25) and have yet to have any issues. I was concerned when i got my backup 2tb drive, but i guess I got lucky as its working as expected.
Good call on the cable. I'll look into adding it as a custom part. This is needed on my corsair 650d due to the fact the USB 3 standard was still being decided on when the case was released. The cable can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007PODI1W/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

in a nutshell $500 worth of performance for $340.
good deal, and thanks.
yeah, just going to OC the CPU to 4.2 and the memory to 1866. As far as upgrades the only thing would be another 650 Ti boost, but that would be down the road.
not at all.. it was like $6 on ebay :)
holy crud.. Thats one of the best 650d builds I've ever seen. the red is Bad@zz :) very very nice.
I almost went with the Sabertooth z77 myself. I had it listed for the longest time but ended up going w/ MSI.
the 650d came out when the usb 3.0 standard was still being created. So in short the 650d just gave two usb 3 plugs for the front of the case. but with an adapter you can now plug it into the mobo. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?p=581727
awesome out of box build :) now the fun part.. btw, I really like your motherboard. MSI makes a great product imho.
thank you Divdor! yes, I really enjoy the 650d. I just wish they would bevel out the cable management side just a little as it was not easy. I really like the 500r though, its a great looking case. in fact, I like most all the corsair cases but the 500r with its two from fans and beveled sides is amazing.
nice job. love the blue led'z :)
a little bit of cable management and replace the stock intel cpu cooler imho.
thank you sir! funny thing is, that took me longer than taking all the parts out of the box and building the system :) but it was fun.. and worth it.
thank you :) when with 16 just due to the fact egghead had a deal going on, buy the msi motherboard get 8 gig free. that's not the reason why i went with msi, but i just got lucky.
