While it's hard to recommend 1 TB drives with the size of games nowadays, this is still a competent SSD if you're willing to uninstall and reinstall a few games.

This SSD is slightly weird, at the start of a load it performs normally at reasonable gen 4 speeds, but quickly slow down to speeds comparable to a mid-range gen 3 drive, no matter sequential or continuous load.
Still a reasonably cost-effective drive, but for gen 4 is not that good in particular

This drive is weird. When you're reading or writing anything big, the speeds start off perfectly normal for a PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD... but they quickly decline to what you'd expect from a PCIE 3.0 M.2. It also has no cache, this is something to be aware of but what that means for you may vary. Despite these issues, it is at least more than fast enough for a boot drive.
